Pricing & Tagging Your Inventory for Our Kids Consignment Sale

New Jersey & Pocono Mountain Kids Consignment Events: Our Spring/Summer All-Seasons Event is now underway.

CONSIGNMENT SALE PRICING

You will be prompted to select a category and write a brief description of your item – ie: GAP Navy Blue Sweatshirt

Discount? You will be prompted on each item whether you would like to discount the item to half price on the final day of our sale. Sunday is Half Price Day and your last chance to get rid of what remains unsold so we highly suggest discounting as many items as possible.

Donate? You will be prompted on each item whether you would like to donate the item to charity to help local mothers and children in need at the sale’s end if it has not sold. If you do not donate, you will be required to come pick up your items from our sales’ floor on Sunday afternoon after the close of the event. Regardless of your selection, if you do not come for pick-up on Sunday, the items you’ve left behind become the property of Tiny Treasures Kids Sale, LLC.

Pricing Your Items:

Tiny Treasures suggests 1/4-1/3 of retail price. In our experience, clothing sells best when priced between $1-$6 for single items.

Tier 1: $6 think Gap, Ralph Lauren, Nautica, Gymboree, Abercrombie sweaters; $4-5 for nice shirts/sweatshirts; $3 for tee shirts in these brands.

Our rule of thumb is $2 less for each drop in brands.

Tier 2: includes Children’s Place, Old Navy, Crazy 8′s, etc. $4 sweaters, $3 for nice shirts, $2 for t-shirts

Tier 3: department store brands~sweaters: $2-3, nice shirts $2, t-shirts $1.

Boutique brands will sell for higher than Tier 1, but take a unique shopper who knows and appreciates them so price accordingly knowing there is a smaller audience for these. We suggest $8-$12.

Please note, the above is simply a general rule of thumb. There are some very popular items that can fetch as much as 50% of what you paid, or even if it’s brand new with tags, you might be able to go up to 60% if it’s a really hot seller.

The MINIMUM price you can enter for an item is 1.00. If an item is not worth 1.00, please bundle it with something else. From there, you may increase in .50 cent increments.

**ALL ITEMS MUST BE ENTERED INTO OUR ONLINE SYSTEM & DROP-OFF APPOINTMENTS MUST BE SET NO LATER THAN SEPTEMBER 28, 2013 at 11:59 p.m. OUR SYSTEM WILL AUTOMATICALLY SHUT DOWN AT THAT TIME!**
